Ok, you've read the boring narrative on Rally-L and perused the results. Now, here's the pictures you've been promised.

Here's the whole rowdy bunch, standing around looking at me with their backs to some of the greatest scenery on earth. Now, just take one step back and say cheese!

First, here's a few pictures of the workers. Without workers, there could be no rally! Unfortunately, I did not get shots of everyone - in Particular Richard and Forest Duplessis who drove the sweep VAN through some truly miserable conditions.

In order of appearance, Howard, Patty, Vicky & Janice (Getting their kicks on Route 66!), Peter, Joanne, Glen, Glenda, Glenda's Mom, Cindy, our Native American tour bus driver (and entertainer and comedian), Rally Master Gary "Hey, look at this cool road I found" Webb and finally a rare picture of Team Friedfarb - Marc and Mike. (My sincere apologies to anyone I inadvertently left out or mis-identified. I'm JUST the driver!)

Here's a sample of some of the GREAT roads we traveled.

Much of the course criss-crossed the old and historic Route 66. These pictures show the varied and interesting terrain and surfaces of that old highway.

Up in the mountains we encountered mostly smooth dirt roads.

Ok. It's coming up. Becomes Unpaved, Right at T in 40 - - - MILES!

Uh Oh. There's always got to be a trap somewhere! Yes, that's just what it looks like - a checkpoint right at the border between two time zones.

When we pre-checked this road on Wednesday, it was dry and hard packed. Honest! We didn't take into account that we were well above 6000 feet, and the snow line was around 3500 feet. It rained on Thursday in Laughlin, and left us with 30 miles or so of mud/snow/ice/mud/slime/and mud. A splendid time was had by all!

The external sensors (EZ-Pulse shown here) took the brunt of the mud, but kept on tick'n...

Finally, what can I say, the scenery was spectacular! Further words are not required.

I took several hundred photos of the scenery and of the rally. They are all high resolution digital photos and will be available on a CD-ROM for a nominal fee. (8x10 prints too!)

Thanks for taking the time to look at the site.

Rally on,
Mike Friedman
